David is the Managing Partner of the Practice and the founder of DW Solicitors.
David’s legal career started in the local government after leaving the Royal Air Force. David spent 4 years in local government. The majority of that period was spent doing property and commercial work and Landlord & Tenant work and researching and guiding colleagues on points of law and procedures. Whilst in local government, David qualified as a Legal Executive.
David was then head hunted to join one of the large London Practices, which was then known as Titmuss Sainer and Webb, now known as Decherts. David spent 9 years with Decherts. During that period, David qualified as a Solicitor. David qualified as a Solicitor on the 23rd October 1992.
Whilst at Decherts David was principally involved in large company and commercial matters. He was regularly seconded to work at the head offices of several well known high street retailers to give advice and guidance to the in-house professionals.
After 9 years at Decherts, David was head hunted for a position at a Practice in Northampton. David spent 5 years at that Practice doing a wide range of different types of work, most of which were business (including employment matters), property or tax related. David did, during that period, deal with several high profile contentious Probate matters and regularly gave lectures on various topics including Contractual Principles, Partnerships, Landlord & Tenant matters (including dilapidations, rent reviews and alienation).
David started DW Solicitors in November 2001 and has recently given lectures on landlord and tenant issues, Wills and tax liabilities. David prides himself giving concise advise in a very friendly manner
